We turn more applicants away than we recruit into our care team. We are only interested in the right person with the right aptitude, personality and emotional abilities to provide care and companionship. A person might be ‘fit’ enough to care that does not mean they are ‘able’. Our recruitment team are looking through the eyes of a family when picking the best candidates.
All our carers are DBS checked and we go back several years in checking employment history.
Our procedures and personnel checks are very robust.
Training
As a regulated service all our carers receive training in line with the Care Certificate, this is an extensive list of important care requirements set out by the Care Quality Commission. Only when our carers pass these requirements are they allowed to care.
